 Developmental Milestones

  •  Language: The child’s understanding is growing. When you point to an object, they might be able to name what you're pointing to. They will also know the names of familiar people and body parts. Children at this age are also able to make 2 to 4-word sentences. They can also follow simple instructions, such as “pick up your shoes and put them in the closet”. They’ll often repeat words overheard in conversation so be careful of what you say.

  • Brain Development: Your child now can recognize things, even when they are hidden under covers. They can sort out shapes and simple colors. By themselves, they can play make-believe games or build block towers of 6 to 7 cubes. They can point to things in a book and name them such as cat, bird, or dog. Without much help from you, they can put on simple clothes.

  •  Movement: Kids at this age can stand on their tiptoe, throw a ball over their heads, kick a ball without losing their balance, they can begin to run, and can climb onto furniture without help. Their movement is developing. They can walk up and down the stairs while being held.  When doodling, they can copy lines and circles and make scribbles.

  •   Physical: May have first 16 teeth, Vision is fully developed

Social-Emotional Milestone

Once you let your child meet more people, different adults,  and other children, you might see your child copying their actions. Your growing baby will enjoy being around other children, and you will see their excitement when playing with others. They might also become more independent and may not always follow things that you tell them to do.
